Synopsis

The version of FreeBSD installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the f778ad20-0d5f-49c4-af45-4493ff0696d9 advisory.PJUllrich reports:
The Version module parses numeric version components without length limits. Untrusted input can trigger creation of arbitrary-precision integers, causing CPU and memory exhaustion.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the FreeBSD security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
