Synopsis

Description

The version of Firefox installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 150.0.3. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2026-45 advisory.

- Sandbox escape in the Profile Backup component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 150.0.3.
(CVE-2026-8401)

- Use-after-free in the JavaScript: WebAssembly component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 150.0.3.
(CVE-2026-8390)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox version 150.0.3 or later.
