Synopsis

The version of Thunderbird installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 150.0.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2026-43 advisory.- Use-after-free in the DOM: Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 150.0.2, Firefox ESR 140.10.2, and Firefox ESR 115.35.2. (CVE-2026-8090)
- Memory safety bugs present in Thunderbird ESR 140.10.1 and Thunderbird 150.0.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. (CVE-2026-8092)
