Synopsis

The remote Red Hat CoreOS host is missing one or more security updates for OpenShift Container Platform 3.10 mediawiki.

Description

The remote Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 3 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2019:3238 advisory.

 - mediawiki: $wgRateLimits (rate limit / ping limiter) entry for 'user' overrides that for 'newbie' (CVE-2018-0503)

 - mediawiki: Information exposure when a log event is (partially) hidden (CVE-2018-0504)

 - mediawiki: BotPassword can bypass CentralAuth's account lock (CVE-2018-0505)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHCOS OpenShift Container Platform 3.10 mediawiki package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:3238.
