Synopsis

According to its self-reported version, Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software is affected by a vulnerability.- A vulnerability in the Snort detection engine of Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass the configured policies on an affected system. This vulnerability is due to incorrect handling of specific HTTP requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass deep inspection performed by the Snort detection engine, potentially allowing malicious content to pass through the device undetected.
