Synopsis

According to its self-reported version, Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software is affected by a vulnerability.- A vulnerability in the TLS processing feature of the Snort 3 detection engine of Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper handling of TLS connections.
An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted TLS traffic through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the Snort 3 detection engine to unexpectedly restart, resulting in a DoS condition. (CVE-2026-20006)
