Synopsis

The remote openSUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote openSUSE 16 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE- SU-2026:20608-1 advisory.

 - CVE-2025-15270: lack of proper validation of user-supplied data when parsing SFD files can lead to OOB writes and arbitrary code execution (bsc#1256031).

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected fontforge and / or fontforge-devel packages.
