Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 versions of WebCenter Sites installed on the remote host are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the April 2026 CPU advisory.

 - Vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Sites product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Thick Client (Apache Log4j)). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via TLS to compromise Oracle WebCenter Sites. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle WebCenter Sites accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle WebCenter Sites accessible data. (CVE-2025-68161)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the April 2026 Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory.
