Synopsis

The remote FreeBSD host is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FreeBSD installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 6ae8f9e5-3a26-11f1-b60b-b42e991fc52e advisory.

 Mozilla reports:

 Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR, Firefox ESR , Thunderbird ESR, and Thunderbird. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
