Synopsis

The remote openSUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote openSUSE 15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2026:0117-1 advisory.

 - CVE-2025-14104: Fixed heap buffer overread in setpwnam() when processing 256-byte usernames (bsc#1254666).
 - lscpu: Add support for NVIDIA Olympus arm64 core (jsc#PED-13682).

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected util-linux-extra package.
