Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to net-snmp.

Description

The version of net-snmp installed on the remote host is prior to 5.9.3 / 5.9.5.2. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2025-359-01 advisory.

 New net-snmp packages are available for Slackware 15.0 and -current to fix a security issue.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the net-snmp security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the affected net-snmp package.
