FreeBSD : MongoDB -- Reachable Assertion (e72ec9c1-ced4-11f0-a958-b42e991fc52e)

high Nessus Plugin ID 277147

Language:

Synopsis

The remote FreeBSD host is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FreeBSD installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the e72ec9c1-ced4-11f0-a958-b42e991fc52e advisory.

https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/SERVER-101180 reports:
MongoDB Server may experience an invariant failure during batched delete operations when handling documents. The issue arises when the server mistakenly assumes the presence of multiple documents in a batch based solely on document size exceeding BSONObjMaxSize.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the FreeBSD security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
