Synopsis

The remote Solaris system is missing a security patch from CPU Oct2025.

Description

The version of Solaris installed on the remote host is prior to 11.4.86.201.2. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the solaris11_oct2025_SRU11_4_86_201_2 advisory.

 - Vulnerability in the Oracle Solaris product of Oracle Systems (component: Filesystem). The supported version that is affected is 11. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle Solaris executes to compromise Oracle Solaris. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle Solaris, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle Solaris. (CVE-2025-53070)
