NewStart CGSL MAIN 7.02 : pytorch Vulnerability (NS-SA-2025-0250)

critical Nessus Plugin ID 271296

Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 7.02, has pytorch packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- PyTorch is a Python package that provides tensor computation with strong GPU acceleration and deep neural networks built on a tape-based autograd system. In version 2.5.1 and prior, a Remote Command Execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in PyTorch when loading a model using torch.load with weights_only=True. This issue has been patched in version 2.6.0. (CVE-2025-32434)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution
