Fortinet Firewall is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FortiAnalyzer installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FG-IR-25-198 advisory.

- A concurrent execution using shared resource with improper synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability [CWE-362] in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer version 7.6.0 through 7.6.2, 7.4.0 through 7.4.6, 7.2.0 through 7.2.10 and before 7.0.13 allows an attacker to attempt to win a race condition to bypass the FortiCloud SSO authorization via crafted FortiCloud SSO requests. (CVE-2025-54973)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

For 7.0.x, upgrade to FortiAnalyzer version 7.0.14 or later. For 7.2.x, upgrade to FortiAnalyzer version 7.2.11 or later. For 7.4.x, upgrade to FortiAnalyzer version 7.4.7 or later. For 7.6.x, upgrade to FortiAnalyzer version 7.6.3 or later.
