Synopsis
The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.Description
The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 7.02, has zlib packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:- MiniZip in zlib through 1.3 has an integer overflow and resultant heap-based buffer overflow in zipOpenNewFileInZip4_64 via a long filename, comment, or extra field. NOTE: MiniZip is not a supported part of the zlib product. NOTE: pyminizip through 0.2.6 is also vulnerable because it bundles an affected zlib version, and exposes the applicable MiniZip code through its compress API. (CVE-2023-45853)
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL zlib packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.See Also
