Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 7.02, has librsvg2 packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

 - A directory traversal problem in the URL decoder of librsvg before 2.56.3 could be used by local or remote attackers to disclose files (on the local filesystem outside of the expected area), as demonstrated by href=.?../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd in an xi:include element. (CVE-2023-38633)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL librsvg2 packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
