The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 7.02, has perl packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - A vulnerability was found in perl 5.30.0 through 5.38.0. This issue occurs when a crafted regular expression is compiled by perl, which can allow an attacker controlled byte buffer overflow in a heap allocated buffer. (CVE-2023-47038)

 - Security-in-Depth issue in Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database (component: Cache (Perl)). This vulnerability cannot be exploited in the context of this product. Security-in-Depth issue in the Universal Installer (Perl) component of Oracle Database Server. This vulnerability cannot be exploited in the context of this product. (CVE-2023-47100)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL perl packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
