Language:

Synopsis

The remote FreeBSD host is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FreeBSD installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 69bfe2a4-5a39-11f0-8792-4ccc6adda413 advisory.

GStreamer Security Center reports:
It is possible for a malicious third party to trigger a buffer overflow that can result in a crash of the application and possibly also allow code execution through stack manipulation.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the FreeBSD security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
