Synopsis

A database server installed on the remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of IBM Informix Dynamic Server installed on the remote is either 12.10.x prior to 12.10.xC16W2, 14.10.x prior to 14.10.xC11W2. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability as referenced in the 7238455 vendor advisory.

 - IBM Informix Dynamic Server 12.10,14.10, and 15.0 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to an integer underflow when processing packets. (CVE-2025-1991)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to IBM Informix Dynamic Server to the fixed version mentioned in the vendor advisory.
