Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 7.02, has keepalived packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- In the vrrp_ipsets_handler handler (fglobal_parser.c) of keepalived through 2.3.1, an integer overflow can occur. NOTE: this CVE Record might not be worthwhile because an empty ipset name must be configured by the user. (CVE-2024-41184)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL keepalived packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
