A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.
Description
The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 127.0.6533.72. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2024_07_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_23 advisory.
- Use after free in CSS in Google Chrome prior to 127.0.6533.72 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
(Chromium security severity: Medium) (CVE-2024-7000)
- Use after free in Downloads in Google Chrome on iOS prior to 127.0.6533.72 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2024-6988)
- Use after free in Loader in Google Chrome prior to 127.0.6533.72 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2024-6989)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Upgrade to Google Chrome version 127.0.6533.72 or later.
