The remote CentOS host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CESA-2024:3049 advisory.

 - perl-Convert-ASN1 (aka the Convert::ASN1 module for Perl) through 0.27 allows remote attackers to cause an infinite loop via unexpected input. (CVE-2013-7488)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected perl-Convert-ASN1 package.
