Fortinet Firewall is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FortiWeb installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FG-IR-23-191 advisory.

 - An exposure of sensitive information to an unauthorized actor vulnerability [CWE-200] in FortiWeb may allow an authenticated attacker to read password hashes of other administrators via CLI commands or HTTP requests. (CVE-2024-23107)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to FortiWeb version 7.0.9 / 7.2.5 / 7.4.1 or later.
