Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 / SLES15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2024:0663-1 advisory.

- An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.6.8. do_vcc_ioctl in net/atm/ioctl.c has a use-after- free because of a vcc_recvmsg race condition. (CVE-2023-51780)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel-livepatch-5_14_21-150500_55_36-default, kernel-livepatch-5_3_18-150200_24_172-default and / or kgraft-patch-4_12_14-122_186-default packages.
