Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to pam.

Description

The version of pam installed on the remote host is prior to 1.6.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2024-026-01 advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the affected pam package.
