The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 / openSUSE 15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2023:4715-1 advisory.

- An integer overflow in xerces-c++ 3.2.3 in BigFix Platform allows remote attackers to cause out-of-bound access via HTTP request. (CVE-2023-37536)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libxerces-c-3_1, libxerces-c-3_1-32bit and / or libxerces-c-devel packages.
