Synopsis

The version of FortiProxy installed on the remote host is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FortiProxy installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FG-IR-22-455 advisory.

- An insertion of sensitive information into log file vulnerability [CWE-532] in FortiOS / FortiProxy log events may allow a remote authenticated attacker to read certain passwords in plain text. (CVE-2023-26207)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Please upgrade to FortiProxy version 7.2.2 or above.
