The remote openSUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote openSUSE 15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2023:3887-1 advisory.

- iperf3 before 3.14 allows peers to cause an integer overflow and heap corruption via a crafted length field. (CVE-2023-38403)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected iperf, iperf-devel and / or libiperf0 packages.
