Synopsis

The remote AlmaLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote AlmaLinux 9 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALSA-2023:3725 advisory.

 - In GNU Less before 609, crafted data can result in less -R not filtering ANSI escape sequences sent to the terminal. (CVE-2022-46663)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected less package.
