Synopsis

The remote database server is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of MariaDB installed on the remote host is prior to 10.9.6. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mdb-10-9-6-rn advisory.

 - MariaDB Server before 10.3.34 thru 10.9.3 is vulnerable to Denial of Service. It is possible for function spider_db_mbase::print_warnings to dereference a null pointer. (CVE-2022-47015)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to MariaDB version 10.9.6 or later.
