The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 / SLES_SAP12 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2023:0117-1 advisory.

- CVE-2023-22809: Fixed an arbitrary file write issue that could be exploited by users with sudoedit permissions (bsc#1207082).

Other fixes:

- Fixed a potential crash while using the sssd plugin (bsc#1206170).

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the SUSE security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected sudo and / or sudo-devel packages.
