Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to vim.

Description

The version of vim installed on the remote host is prior to 9.0.0417. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2022-252-01 advisory.

- NULL Pointer Dereference in GitHub repository vim/vim prior to 9.0.0404. (CVE-2022-3153)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
