Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch

Description

The version of Cisco Unity Connection installed on the remote host is prior to 14S2. It is, therefore affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability (XSS). An unauthenticated remote attacker could, with the interaction of another user, exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive browser-based information.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug ID CSCvz33042
