Synopsis
The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates.Description
The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2022:5439 advisory.- zlib before 1.2.12 allows memory corruption when deflating (i.e., when compressing) if the input has many distant matches. (CVE-2018-25032)
- gzip: arbitrary-file-write vulnerability (CVE-2022-1271)
- rsyslog: Heap-based overflow in TCP syslog server (CVE-2022-24903)
- kernel: a use-after-free write in the netfilter subsystem can lead to privilege escalation to root (CVE-2022-32250)
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
