Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to libxslt.

Description

The version of libxslt installed on the remote host is prior to 1.1.35. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2022-059-02 advisory.

 - Use after free in Blink XSLT in Google Chrome prior to 91.0.4472.164 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2021-30560)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the affected libxslt package.
