Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.05 / MAIN 5.05, has freetype packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- Heap buffer overflow in Freetype in Google Chrome prior to 86.0.4240.111 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2020-15999)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL freetype packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
