Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch

Description

According to its self-reported version, Cisco SD-WAN vManage is affected by a denial of service vulnerability in the web-based management interface due to inefficient memory management. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by sending a large number of crafted HTTP requests to the affected web-based management interface, in order to cause a denial of service condition.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug IDs CSCvt69529, CSCvs21703, and CSCvo08423.
