Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch

Description

According to its self-reported version, Cisco SD-WAN vManage is affected by a denial of service vulnerability in the web-based management interface due to inefficient memory management. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by sending a large number of crafted HTTP requests to the affected web-based management interface, in order to cause a denial of service condition.

Please see the included Cisco BIDs and Cisco Security Advisory for more information.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug IDs CSCvt69529, CSCvs21703, and CSCvo08423.
