New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

Synopsis
The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch
Description
According to its self-reported version, Cisco Identity Services Engine Software is affected by a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The vulnerability exists because the web-based management interface does not properly validate user-supplied input. An authenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious code into specific pages of the interface. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the interface or access sensitive, browser-based information. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would need to have valid administrative credentials.
