high Nessus Plugin ID 140632

Synopsis

Description

According to its self-reported version, Cisco Data Center Network Manager is affected by a command injection vulnerability in the REST and SOAP API endpoints due to a failure to properly validate user-supplied input. An authenticated, remote attacker with administrative privileges can exploit this by sending a crafted request to the API in order to inject arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system (OS).

Please see the included Cisco BIDs and Cisco Security Advisory for more information.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug IDs CSCvr44798, CSCvr46507
