New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.
VPR Score: 8.3
Synopsis
The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch
Description
A vulnerability exists in the web services interface of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software due to a lack of proper input validation of the HTTP URL. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by sending a crafted HTTP request containing directory traversal character sequences, in order to view or delete arbitrary files on the targeted system within the web services file system.
