The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 4.05, has git packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- Git before 2.14.5, 2.15.x before 2.15.3, 2.16.x before 2.16.5, 2.17.x before 2.17.2, 2.18.x before 2.18.1, and 2.19.x before 2.19.1 allows remote code execution during processing of a recursive git clone of a superproject if a .gitmodules file has a URL field beginning with a '-' character. (CVE-2018-17456)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL git packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
