MySQL Cluster 7.2.x < 7.2.33 / 7.3.x < 7.3.21 / 7.4.x < 7.4.19 / 7.5.x < 7.5.10 Denial of Service Vulnerability

medium Nessus Plugin ID 133181
New! Plugin Severity Now Using CVSS v3

The calculated severity for Plugins has been updated to use CVSS v3 by default. Plugins that do not have a CVSS v3 score will fall back to CVSS v2 for calculating severity. Severity display preferences can be toggled in the settings dropdown.

The remote database server is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

The version of MySQL Cluster running on the remote host is 7.2.x prior to 7.2.33, 7.3.x prior to 7.3.21, 7.4.x prior to 7.4.19 or 7.5.x prior to 7.5.10. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability in the MySQL Cluster component of Oracle MySQL (subcomponent: Cluster: ndbcluster/plugin). An authenticated, local attacker can exploit this, to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of MySQL cluster.

Upgrade to MySQL Cluster version 7.2.33 / 7.3.21 / 7.4.19 / 7.5.10 or later as referenced in the April 2018 Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory.
