New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

Synopsis
The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.
Description
The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.05 / MAIN 5.05, has dovecot packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:
- In Dovecot before 2.2.36.4 and 2.3.x before 2.3.7.2 (and Pigeonhole before 0.5.7.2), protocol processing can fail for quoted strings. This occurs because '\0' characters are mishandled, and can lead to out-of-bounds writes and remote code execution. (CVE-2019-11500)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL dovecot packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
