Synopsis

The remote name server is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability exists in ISC BIND 9 due to TCP Client issues. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue, via DNS Request, to cause the device to stop responding.

Solution

Upgrade to the appropriate version of BIND.
