Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch

Description

According to its self-reported version, Cisco IOS Software is affected by a vulnerability in the H.323 subsystem due to a failure to properly validate certain fields in an H.323 protocol suite message. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may exploit this, by sending a malicious message, causing an affected device to attempt to access an invalid memory region, crash, and restart.
