Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.04 / MAIN 5.04, has zsh packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- An issue was discovered in zsh before 5.6. Shebang lines exceeding 64 characters were truncated, potentially leading to an execve call to a program name that is a substring of the intended one. (CVE-2018-13259)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL zsh packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
