Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 4.05, has openssh-latest packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- In OpenSSH 7.9, scp.c in the scp client allows remote SSH servers to bypass intended access restrictions via the filename of . or an empty filename. The impact is modifying the permissions of the target directory on the client side. (CVE-2018-20685)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL openssh-latest packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
