The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 4.05, has mercurial packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A flaw was found in the way hg serve --stdio command in Mercurial handled command-line options. A remote, authenticated attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary code on the Mercurial server by using specially crafted command-line options. (CVE-2017-9462)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL mercurial packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
