The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.04 / MAIN 5.04, has plexus-archiver packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A path traversal vulnerability has been discovered in plexus-archiver when extracting a carefully crafted zip file which holds path traversal file names. A remote attacker could use this vulnerability to write files outside the target directory and overwrite existing files with malicious code or vulnerable configurations.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL plexus-archiver packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
